Dear Ellie,
I sure hope you like to read when you’re older because I intend to write you lots of letters.
Right now, you’re about 4.5 years old. In a few days, I will turn 36. I’ve had a few major health scares in the last 10 years, and with age comes the worry that I won’t be around long enough to see you grow older and share life’s wisdom with you.
I certainly hope to live to a ripe old age, but I want to get my thoughts out now. You know. Just in case. There are a few categories I have in mind for your letters.
In no particular order, I want to share with you:
- Funny stories, memories, and photographs
- Lessons for success and/or fulfillment in life
- Relationship advice
- Financial wisdom
- How to do stuff
This is the outline for the things I want to give you. I’m sure there will be other things outside these categories, but all in all that should cover all the things a daddy could want to teach his little girl.
I plan to write one letter per week, every week. Hopefully, there will be hundreds and hundreds of letters for you to enjoy long after I’m gone.
I love you so much little one. Till next week!
Love,
Daddy
