Dear Clean Freak (not really),
I finally cleaned my car yesterday. You’re welcome. 🙂
But let me give you the backstory.
Last Christmas we drove from Dallas to The Farm, to have Christmas with Mama Jo, Papa Tom, and Pop Pop. By the time we got back from that 1600+ miles of driving my car was a little dirty and bug squishy.
So you told me I should wash my car. But I put it off.
Then, every time I picked you up from mommy’s house, you’d complain that I still didn’t wash it. Eventually the rain took mostly care of it and the bug squishy was gone, but I never officially washed it.
But you never officially stopped complaining. In fact, you’ve been complaining almost every time I pick you up, for months…6 to be exact.
Yes, I should have washed my car sooner, after the February 2021 crazy, insane weeklong freeze especially. But I didn’t.
But yesterday I did!
Well, I drove it through the $7 automatic car wash. I’m interested to see if you notice. You probably won’t.
I vacuumed the inside, but the vacuums at the car wash place weren’t very good and I didn’t wipe off all the door sills and whatnot, so it’s not totally clean on the inside. That’s ok. I’ll get it detailed soon because I need to have the seats cleaned.
Anyway, not much else going on this weekend. It’s 4th of July, but I’m staying home working on a work project.
Wish you were here so I could give you a big ol’ smoocher!
Love,
Daddy
P.S. A dad was washing his car with his daughter. Annoyed, the daughter finally asked, “Daddy, can’t we just use a sponge!?”
